Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Pink or blue food coloring (depending on gender reveal)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your mini Bundt pans.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until creamy and light. Add the eggs, one at a time, and beat in the vanilla extract.
  • Add the dry ingredients alternately with the buttermilk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  • Divide the batter evenly into two bowls. Add pink or blue food coloring to one bowl, mixing until the color is uniform.
  • Layer the colored batters into the mini Bundt pans, creating a marbled effect by swirling them together using a toothpick or skewer.
  • Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • In a medium bowl, beat together powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Once the cakes are cool, drizzle the frosting over the top of each mini Bundt cake. Decorate with sprinkles for added flair.
